Below are a few of my User Experience Design projects.
Each project follows a process of Empathize, Define, Ideate, then Prototype. I use Figma as a prototyping tool and have found it a great way to share projects with clients at various stages in the process.
In addition to my MFA in Art + Design, I have completed 3 UX Design courses from Google (Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design; Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate; Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes) on my way to earning the Google UX Design Professional Certificate.
Resilience Hub Website
This is a website designed to help people working to overcome substance abuse navigate the myriad of resources offered by my client and their community partners. It was created in response to user feedback on the previous website. It includes a quiz as a wayfinding tool as well as searchable databases of resources and multiple ways to contact the organization.
The project was a 6-month process for a client that involved user research, wireframing, prototyping, UI design and, ultimately, building the website. I designed a set of icons to represent their various programs. I built a complex quiz with 6 different outcomes that serve the various client avatars. I also created several Airtable databases and trained the client to maintain and update them.
On this project, I did all the design work with regular input from my client. My assistant helped with icon production, content implementation and QA.
Food Truck App
This is a hypothetical project that allows users to see all the food trucks in their area and place a collaborative group order at the truck of their choice.
For this project, I did user research, a competitive analysis and wireframing.
This was a solo project.
